Aurence is a folk artist so his works are crude but very meaningful. He was asked to paint the POW symbol on 091. White Dog (his portector in Vietnam), a fireball (messages from 'Nam), and a squiggly under his name are always a part of his work. The squiggly is a "D" with two hatchmarks. They represent the spirit of a fallen Mainre, Danny Dean McGee.
