The event began over Veteran's Day weekend. Aurence and I were invited to breakfast with the producers at their home on Friday morning. In the evening we attending a casual event held at the Fiesta Gardens in Austin that included an author's and artist's signing.
We attended another signing at the Holiday Inn on Saturday morning and spent the rest of the afternoon touring Austin with one of Aurence's collectors, A Donut Dolly (and her husband), who had flown in from Maryland to view the documentary with Aurence.
We attended the premiere on Saturday evening and afterwards, attended a VIP party. The documentary was incredible, and we thank all those who cared enough to struggle long hours, not to mention several years to make this movie in honor of our veterans.
